For freelancers
Keep clients up to date with a simple progress board.
Manage your client work in KanbanTrack, then share a link so clients can see where their project stands and leave a comment on any item — without another account to manage.
Get startedOne place for the next client update
When you are delivering a website, design project, or small software build, a status email can become outdated as soon as work moves forward. A client progress tracker gives your client one place to return to for the current board.
You manage the tasks. Your client sees the shared progress view and can comment on any item, while the controls to edit or move your cards stay with you.

Fictional Studio redesign example. Switch to Client view to compare what clients see — progress plus comments — with the owner’s board. Demo actions do not create a project.
From private planning to a client-ready link
- Create a Client Project. Give each engagement its own board and add clear tasks that describe the deliverables.
- Keep the status current. Move cards through To do, In progress, Waiting client, and Done as the work changes.
- Share the progress view. Create a public link, review it, then send it to your client. They can open it without signing in.
Answer questions in context
Every item on the shared board has its own comment thread. When a client opens a card, they can ask a question or leave a note where the work lives — and you reply from your private board, where your messages are labeled as coming from the developer.
New client comments appear as notifications in your dashboard, so a reply never depends on the client emailing you first.
Choose what you put on the shared board
The board is yours to manage, but anyone with the active link can open the shared view and read its comments. Use client-ready task titles and descriptions, and review the shared view before sending the link. The link is not tied to an individual client’s identity.
Revoke access when the engagement ends, or rotate the link if you need a replacement. The previous link stops working after either action.
Frequently asked questions
Do my clients need an account?
No. Only you sign in to manage the project. Clients open the active public link to read the progress board and comment on items.
Can clients change my tasks?
No. Clients see a progress view with comment threads. You remain the only person who can create, edit, move, or archive cards.
Can I manage more than one client?
Yes. Create a separate project for each engagement and share the corresponding project link.
Will I know when a client comments?
Yes. Client comments create a notification in your dashboard, and the item shows an unread indicator until you open the discussion.
Can clients submit requests on this board?
Client Projects are for delivering agreed work. For anonymous feature requests, bug reports, and voting, create a Web App Project instead.
